Dr. Arun Kumar

Dr. Arun Kumar, Principal Investigator at ICMR, is a seasoned biomedical scientist with 15+ years of experience in toxicology, cancer epidemiology, and diagnostics. He has discovered 23 potential antidotes for arsenic toxicity and is leading groundbreaking work on gall bladder cancer in Bihar. With 89+ global publications, he collaborates with universities in the UK and Japan.

Dr. Kumar is currently supervising seven Ph.D. scholars and multiple research assistants under national and international collaborative grants, including DST-UKIERI projects with the University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, and Tokyo University. At IILS, Dr. Kumar mentors students in research-focused modules, integrating real-world insight into cancer biology, toxicology, and public health innovation
